GWOW Student Staff

Coordinators

Two student coordinators work with the professional staff to train and supervise the GWOW team by planning GWOW signature and co-sponsored events. The events are to help facilitate the transition of new and returning students.

Gabriela Martinez

Hi! My name is Gabriela Martinez. I am from Red Oak, Texas. I’m a rising sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences. I am so excited to be working as a 24′ GWOW Coordinator and helping first years in their transition into college. Beyond planning GWOW events, I love reading, trying new recipes, and exploring DC with my friends. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Kate Hwang

Hi, my name is Kate Hwang, I’m from Vancouver, Canada and I’m a rising sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences! I am super excited to be a 2024 GWOW Coordinator and organize some awesome events for this year’s GWOW. Outside of that, I am a News Desk Editor at The Hoya and love exploring new places and listening to music.

Welcome Ambassadors (WAs)

Welcome Ambassadors (WAs) are responsible for a host of activities in their efforts to make GWOW’s signature events as great as possible for all Hoyas. WAs engage with new students and returning students throughout their ongoing transition to Georgetown at the start of the academic year. By joining the GWOW team, a Welcome Ambassador will gain valuable skills and experience while enriching the Georgetown community.

Welcome Ambassador sign-ups for GWOW 2024 will open in April 2024. If you have any questions, please email gwow@georgetown.edu.
