Prelude

First-Year and Transfer Students:

The Center for Student Engagement is excited to invite you to Prelude 2023! Prelude is a one-day pre-orientation program hosted by Georgetown Weeks of Welcome (GWOW). Prelude will take place on Friday, August 18, before New Student Orientation begins.  Focused on love of learning, this program is designed for incoming first-year and transfer students and serves as an introduction into the academic, co-curricular, and social learning experiences of the Hilltop. Participating in Prelude will allow you the opportunity to meet and engage with esteemed professors and faculty mentors, staff from the Center for Student Engagement, leaders from Campus Ministry, and upperclass peer Welcome Ambassadors.

Prelude will take place on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 12 pm to 5 pm. There is no fee to participate in Prelude. A final schedule of speakers and events will be sent in the coming weeks.

Registration is currently capped at 100 participants. The deadline to apply for Prelude is Friday, July 7 2023, at 11:59pm EDT.

Note: Students should not sign up for Prelude if they are already participating in another Pre-Orientation program.
