New Student Webinars

In the months leading up to New Student Orientation, Georgetown will be conducting virtual webinars on Zoom to introduce incoming students to the Georgetown experience. These sessions will cover a multitude of topics concerning preparing for life as a new student.

The schedule for summer webinars will be updated in the coming weeks. New students must log into their Georgetown Zoom account by clicking the “Sign in with SSO” option to join the webinar. Please visit https://uis.georgetown.edu/zoom/signin/ for more information about signing in to Zoom with SSO.

Summer 2024 Webinar Schedule

Welcome to Georgetown! The New Student Orientation team will share an overview of summer communications that new students will need to look out for, including the New Student Checklist, Newsletters, and more.

Team members from the Office of Student Financial Services and the Office of Revenue and Receivables will talk through the tuition payment process and interface and address questions about financial aid.

Student Affairs team members will provide more information on the mental health and well-being pre-arrival course as well as mental health resources available for Hoyas virtually and on campus.

Faculty from the Office of Residential Living will share information about student housing and residential opportunities and resources for new students.

The Auxiliary Business Services is the University department responsible for providing the Georgetown community with dining, retail, merchandising options, and more.

Team members from Hoya Hospitality will discuss how to use the meal plan and all the dining options that are available on campus, including options for students with dietary restrictions.

The Student Affairs team will welcome parents and families of new students to the Georgetown community and discuss Hoya Family Orientation (HFO), as well as other ways for parents and families to support their new students.

The Residential Living and New Student Orientation teams will provide more information on the logistics for new student move-in and NSO and preview the exciting ways students can begin to engage with the Georgetown community during NSO.
