Pre-Arrival To-Dos
What to do before you arrive to campus…
We want to help you feel confident and comfortable from the very first day you arrive on campus. On this page, first-year students will find a link to view their New Student Checklist, Pre-arrival modules, along with an up-to-date archive of New Student Newsletters and Webinars.
New Student Checklist
The New Student Checklist is your go-to resource for tracking important tasks and deadlines as you prepare for the semester. While some items are required, others are highly recommended to help you transition smoothly into life as a Hoya.
You can access the checklist on CampusGroups, Georgetown’s student engagement platform. Simply log in with your NetID and password to view and check off completed tasks. We recommend following the checklist in order to stay on track.
The New Student Checklist will be made available in May of 2026.
Need help navigating CampusGroups? Check out our step-by-step instructions for the web browser and mobile app. If you have any questions, our Orientation team is happy to assist—just email us at nso@georgetown.edu.
Pre-Arrival Modules
To ensure your safety, comfort, and confidence on campus, NSO and many other essential Georgetown departments have prepared a handful of Pre-Arrival Modules for you to complete before moving on campus in August. These modules will open throughout the Summer beginning in June, and can be found on your Georgetown Canvas Dashboard. Please go to canvas.georgetown.edu for instruction on how to access your Canvas Dashboard, and contact nso@georgetown.edu with any questions.
