GWOW Fall 2024 Signature Events

Tuesday, August 27 | Welcome Back Jack BBQ!

Let’s kick off the Academic Year together with Welcome Back Jack BBQ! in Healy Lawn on Tuesday, August 27th! The GWOW team will be giving away the iconic Welcome Back Jack shirt. We hope you join us for good food, t-shirts, and lawn games to celebrate the new school year!

Friday, August 30 | Late Night at Safeway

This is certifiably “the most fun you’ll have in a grocery store”! That’s right… GWOW is working with Safeway on Wisconsin Avenue (AKA, the Safeway closest to campus) to welcome Georgetown’s newest Hoyas, providing games, music, prizes and more fun… you are not going to want to miss this unique and creative celebration.

Saturday, August 31 | CAB Fair

The Council of Advisory Board (CAB) will be hosting the student organization fair also known as CAB Fair to showcase all the organizations that new students could become a member of by signing up and hearing from student organizations members and student leaders.

Saturday, August 31 | Club GWOW

Join us for clubbing in the HFSC. Food and mocktails are provided!

Sunday, September 1 | GWOW New Student Supply Fair & Concert

The move in process can be hectic, join us for a first year supply fair to get any forgotten needs. We will have school supplies, and more!

Friday, September 6 | Movie Night on the Lawn

Come enjoy the fall nights with us on Copley Lawn. Kick back and relax, while we have a movie night. Escape and GUGs provide s’mores for the ultimate movie night! With sponsored tacos by Chaia Tacos.

Sunday, September 7 | GWOW’s Field Day

Come one, come all to a GWOW field day! We will have games, sports, bounce houses, and more! Enjoy the beginning of the semester with other new students and friends!

Sunday, September 8 | Hoya Tees & Sunday Sundaes

Ready to grow your Georgetown spirit? Need some free Georgetown gear? Have no fear! GWOW has you covered. Join us for Hoya Tees! Free shirts will be avalible to all first years. First come first serve! The Georgetown Program Board (GPB) will also be scooping ice cream for all attendees.

Friday, September 13 | Canvas & Cookies

Sometimes after a long week, all we need is rest and recovery! Join us to paint out your feelings and snack on cookies while we celebrate the end of the week!

Saturday, September 14 | GWOW’s Petting Zoo

Want to hang out with animals? Does petting animals bring you joy? Come out to the GWOW Petting Zoo to de-stress or just hang out with cute animals!

Sunday, September 15 | GWOW’s Poker Night

As the GWOW events come to an end, let’s go out with a bang at poker night! Celebrate making it mid-way through the semester! Try your luck at poker games and win big prizes!
