GWOW Student Staff
Coordinators
Two student coordinators work with the professional staff to train and supervise the GWOW team by planning GWOW signature and co-sponsored events. The events are to help facilitate the transition of new and returning students.

Alex Homann
Hey! I’m Alex Homann, and I’m from Bluffton, South Carolina. I’m a rising junior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Government, and possibly Classical Studies. One of my favorite experiences at Georgetown was being a GWOW Welcome Ambassador, so I am so excited to be a 2026 Coordinator and continue to help first-years adjust to Georgetown in a comfortable and friendly environment. When I don’t have my GWOW hat on, I am an ESCAPE leader, former DC Reads tutor, and amateur photographer.

Elaine Jiang
Hi! My name is Elaine Jiang and I’m from Belmont, California. I’m a rising sophomore in the School of Foreign Service studying International Political Economy. I’m so excited to serve as one of the 2026 GWOW Coordinators and I look forward to helping first-year Hoyas feel at home on the Hilltop. Outside of GWOW, I compete with Georgetown’s undergraduate Moot Court team and love exploring new spots in D.C.
Welcome Ambassadors (WAs)
Welcome Ambassadors (WAs) are responsible for a host of activities in their efforts to make GWOW’s signature events as great as possible for all Hoyas. WAs engage with new students and returning students throughout their ongoing transition to Georgetown at the start of the academic year. By joining the GWOW team, a Welcome Ambassador will gain valuable skills and experience while enriching the Georgetown community.
The Welcome Ambassador applications will open later this Spring Semester!
