About

What we’re
here to do:

The mission of Orientation, Transition, and Family Engagement (OTF) is to centrally facilitate the seamless orientation, transition, and retention of new first-year and transfer students, along with their families and supporters to Georgetown, and the broader community.

  • Design and implements ongoing outcomes-based orientation and transition services and programs, from the time of enrollment to the end of the first year
  • Develop students as leaders in providing transitional support to new students
  • Engage parents and families as partners in supporting students
  • Collaborate with campus partners and stakeholders with varying expertise in shaping programs and interventions that create a comprehensive transitional experience

Orientation, Transition & Family Engagement is a unit within the Center for Student Engagement in the Division of Student Affairs. The team actively supports and contributes to the mission of Student Engagement, Student Affairs, and Georgetown University.
