New Student Orientation (NSO) will take place on Monday and Tuesday, January 7 and 8. NSO is designed to officially welcome your student to Georgetown University, communicate academic and community expectations, and prepare students to successfully navigate their transition to the Hilltop. Students should expect to spend full days on both Monday and Tuesday with NSO, as they will be receiving mandatory information and making connections critical to their success on campus.
Parents and family members are also welcome to join us during orientation. There will be an optional Parent and Family Orientation (PFO) program on Monday, January 7.
PFO is designed to address the most important issues and concerns of new undergraduate families. By providing important resources, communication, education and relationships to other parents, we can help our students accomplish their goals while at Georgetown. NSO and PFO ensure that your student’s college experience is rewarding, both academically and socially, and that you are able to support them should they need it.
During Parent and Family Orientation (PFO), you will have the opportunity to meet Georgetown administrators and engage around financial aid, housing and residence life, academic expectations, health and safety, involvement on campus, and more. Your support of your student's education is critical to their success at Georgetown. Please join us!
