Parent & Family Orientation (PFO)
New Student Orientation (NSO) is the start of your student’s journey at Georgetown. It begins with a successful transition to campus and culminates at commencement in four, short years. Parents and family of first year students provide a vital support network for their students throughout this journey and are strongly encouraged to attend Parent and Family Orientation (PFO) on August 24 and 25, 2013.
PFO is designed to address the most important issues and concerns of new undergraduate families. By providing important resources, communication, education and relationships to other parents, we can help our students accomplish their goals while at Georgetown. NSO and PFO ensure that your student’s college experience is rewarding, both academically and socially, and that you are able to support them should they need it.
During Parent and Family Orientation (PFO), you will have the opportunity to meet Georgetown administrators and engage around financial aid, housing and residence life, academic expectations, health and safety, involvement on campus, and more. Your support of your student's education is critical to their success at Georgetown. Please join us!
Parents and Families do not have to register for PFO. Students are asked to provide their parent/guardians contact information during their registration as well as any special accommodations that are needed.
